#FlashCart
In a classic Megaman mood, but instead of doing a basic ass replay of the NES games, I'm doing the Game Boy ones instead. Always thought they were super underrated. Playing the with colorized patches on a flashcart via GB Player, so no savestates or rewind, just getting good.

Loved all three of these games (EBA and the two Japanese ones) back when I had a DS and a flashcart. Played them more than just about anything on the system.

If you go the Flashcart route, there's a lot of R4 clones with a timebomb issue that needs working around.

I use an EZ Flash Parallel. No timebomb and built well.

For GBA I use an EZ Flash Omega. It includes a shell replacement to make it fit flush into a DS lite slot nicely.

My n64 collection is shaping up well.

2 copies of bomberman64 instead of mega man 64 when I ordered this.

I recorded this particular footage from the Kega emulator, which the game actually outright tells you isn't the most optimal way to play it xD

Still, imo, it's running pretty well, but it was made with actual hardware in mind. So that's where it'll really shine if you have a flashcart for it.

Oh yeah I'll be doing a giveaway for this exact N64 and a flashcart on December 22nd (my birthday) ..so also keep your eyes peeled for that!

@sterophonick @eri if you actually want more data than fits in rom your only real option is to write flashcart sd drivers lol

Saw some posts saying the FPGBC isn't actually that great because flashcart support isn't the best and the games don't run at the correct speed...

Sigh... I just want to be able to slot cartridges in a real console without having to pay an exorbitant price or support a terrible human being 😔
Question for all the GB/GB decs following me; I'm thinking of buying an FPGBC (analogue/normal GBCs are too expensive, I'm not giving money to modretro) as well as a flashcart.

Any recommendations for those? I'm not really sure where to start

I still come from times where a DS flashcart needed me to push 4 buttons simultaneously and then save the game's status to the MicroSD manually AFTER saving ingame, I would like to avoid that.

Can you recommend a flashcart that simply works without much more than shoveling ROMs onto it?
Bonus points if it is PAL compatible.

I just don't have a DS flashcart, so I rely on Twilight Menu++ for my ROMs.

I remember seeing a flashcart with an integrated e-ink screen and that was incredibly cool-looking, similar to that virtual boy one.

No idea if it was actually good or not though

And on top of that, I had to find an MBC3 flashcart so the data would properly map to the chip. Most of them are MBC5, which work mostly fine for Pokemon, but won't work with Pokemon Stadium 2 and produces a slight visual quirk with the naming screens

If you get a Nintendo DS flashcart, it's worth keeping in mind using one drains the battery faster than using official cartridges. It's nothing major, and it won't actually damage the battery, but it's still going to make you want to have a charger nearby.

I should probably get a DS flashcart

I’d rather have a flashcart than any repro cart I’ve ever seen.

I got a SNES flashcart and I'm happy to say #thsmw runs flawlessly. There's only one issue: the latest firmware (1.11.0) has a bug with MSU-1 playback. Reverting to the previous version (1.10.3) fixes this issue

Got a flashcart for my childhood DS! It's just been powered off for years till now. Any game recommendations?

do i know 4 people in the US who would be interested in a DSpico flashcart group buy for ~$40-50 (shipped)?

is there really no way to play the original arcade version of Dig Dug on an unmodded flashcart-less Nintendo DSi? Namco Museum DS doesn't have Dig Dug, only its sequel Dig Dug II; the DSi lacks a GBA slot, so the GBA ports won't work; i'm not sure if digging strike has it as an unlockable

Finally got a flashcart and applied this custom label to it.
Help, I made the coolest thing ever now

Il y a déjà beaucoup de flashcarts pour DS(i) mais jusqu’à présent, aucune n’était opensource.

L’équipe LNH vient de corriger le tir avec DSpico, une carte entièrement open hardware/software à base de Raspberry Pi Pico.

I'm super-keen to play that once I get a flashcart for my N64. Have wanted to try for years. One of the few Treasure games I haven't dug into properly.
