realistically it would've just been 4 acts of green hill with random sonic 1 bosses in acts 2 and 3 like the other games were (sonic 2 was all emerald hill but act 2 and 3 had the chemical plant and aquatic ruin bosses with the final one being the actual emerald hill boss)

My major complaint is that the third edition in a gen was always kind of treated like a "this is the best version, get it if you're starting now", but Emerald trivialized a lot of stuff like Rayquaza.

I used:
Knee split (1-handed sword tech, 50% stun chance)
Gravity bind (WOOD spell, 75% stun chance)
Gravity bind again
against an Expert WATER spirit at almost full health
