Existe la posibilidad de hacer vida monástica, pero solo 3 o 4 jornadas al mes, y no coincidía ninguna con mi visita. Así que reservé en un sitio en el que ofrecen también todo el tema zen (en asociación con el Eiheiji), que ha resultado ser un hotel muuuy pijo (y bastante carete, la verdad).

Existe la posibilidad de hacer vida monástica, pero solo 3 o 4 jornadas al mes, y no coincidía ninguna con mi visita. Así que reservé en un sitio en el que ofrecen también todo el tema zen (en asociación con el Eiheiji), que ha resultado ser un hotel muuuy pijo (y bastante carete, la verdad).
Así que he llegado raspado al alojamiento, habiendo comido, a vuelapluma, cualquier cosa que he encontrado en una área de servicio. El alojamiento está al ladito mismo del monasterio Eiheiji, un referente del budismo zen.

Fukui is home for us, coincidentally! It's a very nice place, and I'm homesick every day, although we do go back regularly. While my hometown in Fukui is Tsuruga, I did live for a year in Fukui City, about 45 minutes by bike from Eiheiji. Kanazawa is also a great city. LMK if you ever go to Japan!

Went from Kyoto to Eihei-ji temple in Fukui prefecture and first thing I noticed is that it’s colder and damper— perfect everything-is-covered-in-moss territory 🥰
