us to plan to address evolving and future needs. I welcome the commitment of the DCEDIY and Tusla and their engagement with our sector on sustainable funding so that community and voluntary organisations can continue to provide essential services now and into the future.”

Honoured to be included alongside Ted Steede in (Below) this piece.

Cousins should have been included no matter the difficulty (for what the DCEDIY are claiming) — better to have the sample then do some good ol’ DNA research to find out how they’re related, right?

Catch it here. ⬇️

#DCEDIY has never suggested or stated that an all encompassing scheme would be launched if monies were recouped from the church, hence my reservations

An excellent podcast by @consumerfrank.bsky.social
Many survivors have attempted to get answers to the many reservations we have about the proposed #NCRR, my questions to #DCEDIY remain unanswered.
#NonRecurrence must be portrayed properly in order for the #NCRR to stand as a site for conscience
In my latest #Podcast & #Substack article, I comment on the latest meeting on #Ireland's National Centre for Research & Remembrance and the #Irish Govt's desire to introduce "non-recurrence" into that Centre open.substack.com/pub/frankbre...

Not the reason at all Claire. A DNA expert was employed but was let go after the DCEDIY legal team, Tusla & the AAI objected to DNA being used to trace.

1/2 Following the recent meeting of the National Centre for Research & Remembrance in #London, I have updated my initial report to #DCEDIY - note within, I cover not just the "concerted commitment to non-recurrence" & what is meant by "gross human rights violations": frankbrehany.online/activism

My Birth Father does not exist in the Irish registration system & therefore cannot be traced by #Tusla as any birth outside of ROI is outside of #Tusla tracing scope.
We were promised a #DNA expert but the #AAI, legal advisors for #DCEDIY & #Tusla demanded that DNA tracing be ceased.
