the whole reason everyone loves a poirot denouement (or the entire ace attorney/danganronpa trial conceit) is not because the *solution* is valuable but because the *solving* is valuable. you *can* show the detective seeing everything and not only does it *work* it works *better*

I like pluribusvthus far but wonder if the shows conceit is going to put a formal constraint on the show such that it’s main routine gets old quick.

Xenogears, very much so. And it does avert the tragic ending although there's a lot more that can be said on it. Xenoblade 3 looks to model itself significantly after Xenogears in the core relationship conceit.

No, his conceit and arrogance probably don’t allow him to acknowledge what a terrible PM he is and how he’s loathed.. he thinks his demeanour is calm and cool, while in reality he just appears like a great wet lettuce..

Outro. by the same artist!! kpop yuri is cute as a conceit but im just delighted how this is a story where two people are both deeply cruel to each other and the anticipated response isnt pathos or righteous anger its giddy enjoyment. and so it goes for the two of them. just fun

I really wish I could be anything but a reluctant stan for Remnant as a franchise, because I do actually love the core conceit of arpg dungeoneering with souls combat and persistent loot, but the first time I hit a boss and realised how spongy everything was, I never got those stars back in my eyes

In my own experience, having grown up with a Reagan Republican father, "definitions as structuring reality" is foundational to the Conservative (pre MAGA) worldview, not merely a conceit of the pundit class.

The world is already amazing, no need to believe fanciful stories with no real supporting evidence are real. The stories can be enjoyed without that conceit.
