carcharodontosauridae is my fav family by a long shot PURELY bcoz of their bigass heads. not in a 'bigger than tyrannosaurus' way, but in a 'in proportion to the rest of their body' way. bunch of bobbleheaded animals. so many of them look so ridiculous i love them

But also lbr, the real Rex would likely crush the Giga in a no holds barred fight. Not only did it have a bad bite, it was apparently more agile than other large theropods including the Carcharodontosauridae www.youtube.com/watch?v=60a1...

Dino Fact!

Taurovenator (Bull Hunter) is a carcharodontosaurid from Late Cretaceous Argentina! It's another example of how members of the Carcharodontosauridae family were some of the largest known theropods to ever be discovered, reaching roughly 10-11 meters long and-(1/2)

- discovered, with a new genus name that's very likely inspired by its family's name, Carcharodontosauridae, meaning "Shark-toothed lizards!" Although, its carcharodontosaurid classification has been questioned by recent studies that argue it may be a tyrannosauroid instead! (2/2)

One of my favorite things about the Carcharodontosaurus is the shape of its skull. This super narrow skull was filled with teeth that compared to other theropods of its size, were very thin and knife-like. It made for a particularly unique skull profile.
