Donc là j'apprends que les buldak "hot chicken flavour" sont non seulement VG, donc que j'aurais pu en manger depuis binel ongtemps, et que c'est délicieux ? Genre la version carbonara c'est archi bon ET QU'EN PLUS la sauce buldak est excellente ?

@meraord In ye olde days var det mest marinara (råkor, musslor, tonfisk). Har ingen direkt favorit numera utan mest vad som smaka för stunden. Blev en carbonara senast bara för att prova. 😅

Ich kann mit NDW auch nicht viel anfangen, eigentlich sogar nur mit Spliff. Aber ausgerechnet Carbonara finde ich nicht so dolle. 😄

Today for breakfast I stirred egg and butter and bacon into pasta and it was almost like a carbonara. Why is this not common breakfast practice

Which is exactly why I call my stripped down recipe "carbonara-ish".

My go-to lazy comfort food, made with whatever cheese and diced meat happens to be available.

Swapping the pancetta out in favour of chorizo is a food heaven though ...as long as you're willing to ignore any horrified Italians.

And yes there’s a bunch of replacement products now, and vegan alternatives, but it’s just. Not the same. A vegan tiramisu or Herrencreme will never taste like my childhood, a vegan carbonara doesn’t quite hit the same spots a real one does. It’s still good spots! But not the same ones.

Occasionally I get extremely sad that endometriosis has such a big impact on what I can eat without repercussion.

I miss milkshakes. I miss a good fucking tiramisu. I miss true carbonara, I miss grilled wrapped bacon, I miss semolina and yoghurt and quark and-

Okay, I mostly miss dairy. Like, 90%.

Hola hoy he llevado al trabajo la fiambrera hasta arriba de pasta a la carbonara que hice de forma frenética a las tantas porque me había olvidado de cocinar para hoy.

Interesting, like a carbonara, substituting the sausage for guanciale, and parmesan instead pecorino. Sounds luscious, May make it tomorrow, unfortunately I have to omit the peppers, can't eat them. Thanks for posting, nice anytime meal.

This Brazilian ice cream maker made a Carbonara ice cream that is delicious. Custard-based, lots of black pepper and caramellized guanciale. It's rich, spicy and full of umami. Cacio e Pepe ice cream would probably be very similar, but with aged cheese-based umami
