When I learned that the mandate, for crafting the Bédélys Awards trophies, would not be renewed for financial reasons, I decided to create this tribute video to highlight the work, evolution, and passion behind these sixteen years of creation.

Tu as apporté tellement de beauté, d’imagination et de classe aux prix Bédélys. De mon point de vue se sont tes trophés qui permette aux prix de se distinguer des autres. C’est une très grande perte et l’absence de tes trophées vont laisser un grand vide. 😢

It is with deep regret that I learned that after sixteen consecutive years, the mandate to design the Bédélys Awards trophies will not be renewed, for purely financial reasons.

Just saw the FBDM highlight from the 26th Bédélys Awards spotlighting Natacha Novem and their cool sounding SF graphic novel, "I, the People."
Going to keep an eye out for it when winter thaws and I can leave the house again. :)

I find quite interesting this 'positive protectionism' — awarding local production while also occasionally recognizing work from 'outside'—that this and the Bédélys awards promotes. It’s also worth mentioning that Pow Pow published 3 of the 5 Bédélys Québec finalists, including the winning book.

after 4(!) years, this collects the comics that won the bédélys award for best indie anglophone comic and the story that won a minicomic award for best scifi, both in 2022. it's the realization of what I've been building since book 1, splitting the story into 3 stand-alone yet connected narratives.
