Did I work with Ash before? No. But I can tell you as a reader and as a gaming PR for years that Ash's work (especially her coverage on Overwatch League in its peak) is the kind that is rare these days. A shame to let her go

I know I only read Ash’s work but between this and the inverse news today I’m fucking furious. My kingdom for journalists and everyone else just having a stable fucking job, it would benefit everyone if that was the case.
Breaks my heart to share this, but today is my last day at The Verge and I am looking for work! I'd really like to stay in video games, preferably in some kind of journalistic capacity but I can do PR/Marketing and maybe even a lil Narrative Design. Please get in touch!

I know I only read Ash’s work but between this and the inverse news today I’m fucking furious. My kingdom for journalists and everyone else just having a stable fucking job, it would benefit everyone if that was the case.
(I like Ash’s posts and stories , and I hope she, like everyone else, stays safe and acquires stable, good employment in these hell times)

This is the real issue w/ JN's team. Their apperances and significance are relegated to that of rotation Pokémon. If a series barely balances Ash's 5th & 6th slots, the extras are worse. The JN team is treated like Ash's Kanto reserves but they're the main squad. One with no legacy to back them up.

Sad but true bc Team Rocket is responsible for 18/33 evos of Ash's Mons (I'm not counting BW or SM bc they weren't active in this, but let it be known, Ash had 46 evos moments total). So, in their presence, JJM are responsible for 55% of Ash's evos. True for the bird too, Unfezant is only in 25ep.😢

For me, at least in terms of writing, they would be counterproductive. I figure out what I want to write by writing, ash’s often don’t know where I’m going until I write it. (For that same reason, I’ve never had any luck with RAs. I don’t know what I want to ask until I’m in process of writing it.)
