##AAPM2025
It’s alarming how underrecognized these risks seem to be. Are there any ongoing recommendations or protocols for medical physicists to better protect themselves during events like #AAPM2025?

I could count the other masked folks that I saw at #AAPM2025 on one hand, but there is a mountain of evidence that covid causes long-term issues, one of them being that it is oncogenic. I'm not sure why medical physicists aren't protecting themselves. 😷
🦠COVID & Flu infections can reactivate dormant breast cancer cells in the lungs, causing rapid metastasis in mice within days driven by IL-6.

🦀COVID infection in humans is also linked to metastatic breast cancer tumors in the lungs & higher risk of death. buff.ly/a27BulF

Kudos to AAPM, one of AIMBE’s coalition members, on a successful advocacy event on a huge scale!

It was great connecting with our AIMBE Fellows, Dr. Ge Wang (RPI) and Dr. Bob Nishikawa (University of Pittsburgh), during their congressional meetings today 😊
