Current pet peeve: em dashes being an AI gotcha. Some of us real, flesh-and-blood humans love using them! I even memorized the keyboard shortcut for an em dash years and years ago. We exist!
I’ve spent the entire morning arguing at work that I’m a geriatric millennial dinosaur English major, that I genuinely *like* using em dashes and have used them all the time, even before AI was conceived in some sociopathic brogrammer’s head.
