32 writers from across Canada make 2025 CBC Short Story Prize longlist | CBC Books
The winner will receive $6,000, a writing residency and have their work published on CBC Books. The shortlist will be announced on April 10 and the winner will be revealed on April 17.

The characters in my book mostly speak to each other in Arabic so there are a lot of transliterations and Arabic words sprinkled throughout. What so they mean? I’ll be sharing a few along with more in my upcoming newsletter
