Currently long popcorn futures.
POWELL: ADMINISTRATION'S POLICIES STILL EVOLVING, EFFECTS REMAIN HIGHLY UNCERTAIN
POWELL: ECONOMIC IMPACT OF TARIFFS LIKELY LARGER THAN EXPECTED

🍿🍿🍿 Popcorn futures just went up: Powell telling it like it is, which the prez I'm sure will consider an attack on him:
POWELL: GROWTH LIKELY SLOWED IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2025 FROM LAST YEAR'S SOLID PACE
POWELL: SO FAR LARGER-THAN-EXPECTED TARIFFS LIKELY MEAN HIGHER INFLATION, SLOWER GROWTH

Totally agree. We often had indie games with 1 or 2 developers and now we are giving them even more leverage with these tools.
I believe we have entered the golden age of indie video games. I an seeing incredible work from single devs and small teams, making powerful new games from all over the world.
(And I am only a hobbyist at game dev, with no insider info.)

We are going to be able to verify published papers with data sets in hours soon. And all papers under review can literally be reproduced, particularly the statistical analysis. Fantastic time for Science, and root out the fakers.

What corruption is this? This requires a federal inquiry and an official audit.

I can only imagine the kind of capital flows out of the US economy right now. The US markets generally run at a premium to other markets and that premium is melting.

Remember DALL-E?

This time last year, it was the world’s leading image generation model.

It’s dropped ~80% in usage on Poe since then.

I was writing about this very subject this morning in “Will AI Take My Job 2?”

First it’s voluntary, then it’s layoffs, regardless… Big companies will reduce headcount whether they admit it’s because of AI or not.
Google offers 'voluntary' buyouts to hardware and platform teams
The move comes ahead of expected layoffs as Google continues to "push a little further" with cost cuts.
