Fingers crossed. 🫰

I did specifically write it to start in a cafe for this submission, but then the story morphed a bit as I went along, as stories do.

Sometimes stories write themselves and my job is just to express it on the page.

I love to #buyCanadian when I can. 🍁

My friend opened WhiteBearIT to supply security & managed services made or hosted in Canada.

Every post, aholes blast him for being hosted on USA cloud services. There are literally no 100% Canadian Cloud services if you look under the hood.

We can do better.

This is a new shift in how businesses are built and how they make money. This fundamental shift will make or break thousands of businesses.

Turning Tokens into Wealth
When you boil down the Age of AI to the basics, the goal is to turn tokens into wealth.

I will never understand how anyone could do such a horrific thing. I lived in a tiny resource town in BC when I was a kid, and went to similar sized school and I cant imagine the trauma they will endure.

At my marketing agency, we're using a combo of (paid) stock photos, manual editing, and AI image gen, to then generate short videos.

The explainer videos to help doctors understand the medical report panels in new testing that will reduce suffering for hundreds of medical conditions.

I saw a lot of folks mention the Budweiser commercial was their favorite Superduper Bowl commercial.

Is it just me who thought it was a thinly veiled remake of "The Wild Robot" saying that a Belgian company has been "American for 150 years?"

Maybe I missed something.

Most modern apps "refresh" if you move or close them or fart or glace away from the device.

This is annoying as fuuuuu...

I got a text or something and I come back to the app and the thing I was reading is probably gone forever.

This isn't UX, you fucking morons.

I sell my business books on Kindle. I tried other platforms but only ever sold 4 books on another book platforms.

My question for #authors is this. Would it be worth it to just give my books away on other platforms for free, since I'm not going to sell any there anyway?

Good morning from southern Nova Scotia, friends!

Just logging in to see a few photos of cool chickens, chat with a few other authors, and to see what has been uncovered since last night about powerful and wealthy pedophiles who should all be in prison.

The ice on my roof is dangerous. Fuck ICE.

There is no future in directly competing head-to-head with automation.

One thing I wish I could help people learn, is to be REALLY SHITTY at doing something and doing it anyway.

Not thinking, but KNOWING that you are going to be SHIT at something for a while, maybe a long while, and doing it anyway to get the reps in and learn to be good at it quicker.

The problem with big tech like Google or Apple using their user statistics to make design changes is that at least half of people are idiots.

We need to discard their actions in UI/UX decisions. This is part of why enshittification is everywhere. Half of the decisions are based on idiot usage.

I discovered yesterday that under the section on Runaway AGI in "Will AI Take My Job? 2" it just said "runaway AGI, blah blah..."

Funny, and people took it as being facetious. In reality, that's what I use to find parts I would write later.

Turns out there was a file mix-up.

I have only been able to write for three mornings this month. But I managed to knock out about 3800 words.

My next story is written and editing is under way to submit to @starfarerscafe.bsky.social

And story starts in a cafe in a spaceport… #scifi

People think I'm very pro-AI, when in fact, I feel that I am more of a realist, leaning toward tech optimism.

But I one of the only people presenting several outcomes in the Age of #AI, and they aren't all great.

Washed yesterday’s eggs for today’s breakfast. Even with the cold, the girls are laying more now as the days get longer.

I found that at about -8c or colder, I can open the coop door but they wont go outside.

They just peek their heads out and say, “nope” and head back inside the barn.

Been listening to ScreenRant instead of my usual marketing podcasts. It's fun to listen to screen writers chat and they have a lot of industry insights. I've always found that you can learn a healthy portion of an entire industry's jargon and inner workings through a few dozen hours of podcasts.
