Thank you to Austin’s Persian community for inviting me to the Persian Fall Festival at the Asian American Resource Center. It’s an honor to celebrate the traditions, stories, and culture that make our city stronger and more connected.

Austin is better served with @doggett.house.gov and @gregcasar.bsky.social representing our community in Congress. Their leadership, commitment to working families, and dedication to equitable policy make a meaningful difference for Central Texas. Our future is stronger with their voices in DC.

Ultimately, it was a surrender to justice. But it shows that you can get Donald Trump to come to your side as opposed to having to cave to his side.

Thank you to the Habitat for Humanity UT Chapter for inviting me to speak. Student leaders are playing a key role in building a more affordable, connected Austin by showing what it means to take action, organize locally, and invest in the future of our city.

I joined neighbors in the Zilker area rallying to save Fairy Alley, a space that’s brought creativity and connection to our city for years. I’m proud to support the community and the City’s efforts to protect what makes Austin unique. Let’s Keep Austin Weird.

Many in our community are feeling the impact of the federal shutdown and SNAP disruptions. If you need food support or want to help neighbors in need, resources and volunteer opportunities are available across D9.

I’m proud that Austin officially filed an exemption protect our rainbow crosswalks.

Studies show that they not only make our streets brighter – but safer too.

But ultimately our allyship must mean that we do more to protect people, not just paint. 🌈
