This passage on Wikipedia on Simon Magus is some of my favourite writing on the website. If you didn't know about catholicism at all, this sounds like some of the dumbest shit on the planet. Frankly even when you do, it still sounds goofy as fuck.

A comment chain on reddit /r/changemyview. I comment the following: I live in NL and I experience 0 issues with immigrants. I do experience MANY issues with the virulent racist freaks baying for blood in the streets. I live in a neighbourhood known for its muslim population, and I'd rather walk naked in my home streets at 2 am than spend 5 minutes outside the football stadium when the local club is playing. Someone else responds: You're incredibly privileged. I respond: I'm a disabled trans woman with no independent income, but sure I'm privileged because I don't let the fact that I can perceive muslims in my neighbourhood bother me. To which the subreddit's automoderator responds that my comment has been removed for mentioning transgender topics. Sucks to be me.

From googling, it seems there's 3 female exclusive starters: Vulpix, Eevee and Skitty, and also 3 male exclusive starters: Phanpy, Shinx and Riolu. Interestingly, the non-gendered ones have different starters for different natures. a calm boy is a chikorita, but a calm girl is a cyndaquil. Very odd.
The full list of starters for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky in the form of a graph. The latter columns of the graph show which nature results in which starter pokémon for the genders you can choose in the game. They read as follows: Bulbasaur: Lonely boy, Docile girl.
