All coverage of the Sumud Flotilla should include the basic fact that the Blockade of Gaza is illegal, and any attacks against the Flotilla should be seen as part of an effort by Israel to maintain and uphold this unlawful status quo.

This is amazing from Spain -- which also announced an arms embargo today -- but even more so from Italy because it's a bit of a surprise.

This almost certainly meets the definitions of enforced disappearance under international human rights law and international criminal law, and any country that *received* these people may be held responsible as well.
