And one more for good measure: NGC 891, the Silver Sliver, about 30 million light years away in the direction of Andromeda. NGC 891 is a spiral galaxy like M74, but we are viewing it from the side instead of face on.

@jacobsphysics.bsky.social In problem 7.E of the AP physics 1 workbook, one end of a meter stick is resting on a table. It is released from rest. Part B asks “is there more than one choice for pivot point?” I think there’s only one upward force so the pivot cannot be anywhere else, but is there?Thx
