Religion and “female impurity” is sadly a universal thing. This misogynistic feature is found around the world, including Japan.
Some years ago, a man collapsed on the sumo ring. Nurses attending the match responded to help the man, but they were quickly yelled at for stepping into “sacred space.”

I appreciate how this administration is making effort to violate just about every Amendment imaginable, in this case, the 8th. Looking forward to SCOTUS nullifying the 14th Amendment's birthright citizenship clause and then shrugging when Trump decides the 22nd doesn't apply to him.
