Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

Este imbecil nunca deve ter olhado para a porra dos números das vítimas de acidentes rodoviários no tempo que glorifica.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

One of my most controversial positions is voters have agency, and in general want what they vote for.

A contrary position says only the left has agency, effectively deciding both left and right-wing positions.

That strikes me as condescending and disrespectful. But my betters tell me the opposite.
What centrist libs can't seem to internalize is that the US contains a large, longstanding, well-funded political movement that *wants political violence and authoritarianism*. It does not need to be provoked in any way in order to pursue those goals.

not everyone has a clear record, but kennedy did, and every politician/pundit who did this put themselves on a list of people who should be shunned and mocked (because that is all us shitposters can do)
One more time, shout out to the very serious people who suggested that RFK had some really good points about public health. No way to have predicted how things would turn out, except to look at his past record and everything he said about vaccines.
Surely with RFK Jr.s nuanced and careful public health messaging, trust in public health is at an all-time high.
