She’s living out her dreams of being a celebrity — and it’s hard to believe that she wasn’t secretly giddy when the news of her and RFK Jr. broke, since she immediately started turning it into a book.

The funny thing about Nuzzi’s writing about these powerful people who make themselves into stars, their delusions and their egos, is that you can tell that she’s relishing being the center of attention because now she gets to be a star as well. The book as a whole project is about making her one.

I find that desperate need that people have to make their existence worthwhile by finding and linking it to some idea that makes them supposedly superior to others just absolutely pathetic. That is one of the worst weaknesses in my eyes. It shows a lack of refinement of the mind and the spirit.

It’s nonsensical to even engage with because to accept the argument about hierarchy is already to lose but the question I always have for people is, why do you badly need to find a reason to feel superior to someone else? Why is your worldview held together by these kinds of ideas?

I think Moira also points out how this happens with liberal / leftist men when it comes to women and gender — where they suddenly talk and behave like the men of the right because they see women as lesser / subservient even using the right jargon. Shit like that is so childish and stupid to me.

If you subscribe to racist beliefs, or bigotry in general, and the hierarchy of human beings based on whatever pseudoscience or twist of logic that provides you with the “evidence” you need to believe in a natural superiority, I can’t help but think that you’re incredibly stupid.
