Local Game Store supported. New TTRPG acquired. Now to wrangle some nerds for a game.
Interview went great. I've completed some extra onboarding forms and now I've just got to wait for all my background checks and stuff to be done and I can get started.
They seem really hyped about what my experience and journey can bring to their work, and it has me feeling super positive.

It has been 4 years since my last big mental health challenge. Root cause is no longer an issue, and I've learned and grown so it will (ideally) never happen again.
I'm in a better place now than I was before that and even have an interview next week to start working (Volunteering) in Mental Health.

How can people afford so many fireworks? I've surely heard thousands of pounds worth already, and they'll continue for hours longer tonight. I live with all the other broke people, I don't get it. Where are people getting fireworks money?

A weeklong forecast of my symptoms.
Over the years of learning and reflecting I've become pretty good at recognising when I'm getting worn down, or symptoms are starting to ramp up, but sometimes it still catches me off guard. Couple days notice would be great!

I'm not in the industry and I'm just "some guy" but I know that boycotts are effective, that people coming together in solidarity can affect change. Maybe I'm an optimist, maybe they're pessimistically defeatist. I hope I'm right.

Like others I played the Arc Raiders playtest, enjoyed it and was looking forward to the game only to discover they are using AI voices.
Their reasoning was that they can "go from ideation to implemented voice work in hours not months"
Thing is, that's not an AI issue, that's a pipeline problem...
