in addition to "discomfort does not equal harm" I wish people also realized that sometimes (actually, most of the time) if there's something uncomfortable in a narrative, it's supposed to be uncomfortable. yes, even if its "romanticized", the author usually trusts you understand it's uncanny.

I DO understand the frustration of having a rarepair, of seeing a ship and dynamic you think is SO GOOD and "why can't other people see it?"
Some of my ships only have 2 fanfics & then 1 of them is MINE.
