And for those us GenX’ers who qualify in this age category, and according to average life expectancies, we can “expect” about another 20 years.

For your listing pleasure:

Again, excellent contemporary reporting from @rachelgilmore.bsky.social.

This story is about Alberta‘s Premier leading her followers in a disturbing direction toward US styled book banning.

Aye Caramba!

My interpretation: Carney’s Liberal’s are maintaining the political-left while filling a political-center vacuum abandoned by Poilievre’s Conservatives.

[Excellent contemporary reporting as usual by @rachelgilmore.bsky.social, with her quintessential Canadian communication style I much appreciate.]

Obviously poor form, and all but impossible, for him to be not invited.

And, although beyond our knowledge to know how intentional this was, but surely there was a desire to show that our two primary sides - Canadians as a whole - aren’t so polarized they can’t be civil to each other. #PhotoOp?

Living vicariously through my son, it’s great to see him having epic adventures.

This one from Sunday, May 18, 2025 after he and a bunch of his friends hiked to the top of Stawamus Chief Mountain near Squamish BC, Canada.

After seeing the Clint Eastwood movie, Escape from Alcatraz, it became a bucket list destination. Finally toured Alcatraz in the before times, circa January 2019.

Red Dress Day.

My social feed contribution to commemorate the day… the lego red dress my son and I saw in Dallas, circa March 2019, Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

The deed is done.

I voted. Two pieces of ID. Super easy. Took all of maybe 10 minutes.

Soooooo looking forward to Pierre Poilievre’s resignation in a few weeks. Hopefully conservatives finally learn the lesson that polarizing Canadians doesn’t work.

🤔As long as it’s only hurting yourself by accident, and not ending yourself by accident, that’s the key.

i.e. Don’t end up on Horrible History’s stupid-death video series.

Billy Joel’s, “We Didn’t Start the Fire,“ seems like the appropriate soundtrack for viewing this particular piece of art.

I’m surely no expert, but the destruction of this USAID thing sure sounds like yet another indicator toward the ultimate demise of the American empire. Just as so many other empires in world history before it.

History consistently on repeat, and here we are in maybe about the middle of it.

Well… to be precise, 1.5% probability of a ~50m asteroid strike on December 22, 2032.
