If my Dad were still alive, I would likely still be living in Florida, rooting for Patriots tonight as I was raised. But instead, I escaped across the country and now get to root for my new home’s team, waiting for my city to explode with excitement. I have a true home now and it’s really wild.

Wonder Man is spectacular. Everyone should watch it immediately. And then watch it again.

If you’re Dems, please coalesce around Stephen Miller not having a job anymore.
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

A Dem Senator’s Harsh Takedown of Trump Hits Home: “Breaking Point”
As Trump scrambles to contain the damage from the latest ICE horrors, Senator Chris Murphy offers a sharp indictment of Trump-ICE lawlessness—and explains how Dems can meet the urgency of the moment.

Nothing like having full meltdown where you admit out loud that you regret every decision you’ve made in the last year.

Time to hit the edibles.

Old joke attributed variously to Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union:

Every day a man walks to the newsstand, checks the front page of the paper, and leaves.

Finally, the owner asks "What are you looking for?"

"An obituary."

"Those are in the back of the paper!"

"This one won't be."

Your occasional reminder that depression lies. It will tell you your friends don't want to hear from you when you need to talk to someone the most. Trust me, they not only DO want to hear from you, but they could probably use a kind word too.

Netflix put up a KPop Demon Hunters fireplace and it’s just Gwi-Ma at his temple with the movie’s score playing for an hour. It’s spectacular and a great example of an opportunity that was NOT missed.

I’m thinking about reviving my old YouTube channel. New name, new format slightly. Mostly a yarn crafty content thing, but I have ideas for the future. Maybe that’s my 2026 goal. Guess I should make a plan for this.

With Christmas and Hanukkah both several days in the past and many new toys already seeming kind of boring, the kids will be looking to be entertained.

I know the show is about #Peacemaker but can I just say I freaking adore this version of Adrian Chase? The CW version of him was disappointingly boring and I couldn’t wait for him to be defeated so he’d go away, but this DCU version of him played by Freddie Stroma is just so delightfully silly

I have learned through this process that a cross-country move (in the USA) is basically an exercise in kicking a very expensive can down the road.

Spouse and I took a trip out to Sanibel to play one of my phone games. It’s the first time since Hurricane Ian and I’ve basically been sobbing the whole time. I have lots of memories tied to this island and seeing it so dramatically changed is hard. Knowing this is probably my last visit is harder.

I live in this middle place where I want to dump all social media entirely and where I need to reactivate Facebook so I can feel fully participatory in society.

There's something about coming back to Bluesky after a long absence instead of doomscrolling on Threads that feels very similar to applying for Mammo Tech jobs in Canada instead of the U.S.
