💛 Since my husband got me into tabletop games, I’ve believed in their power of bringing people together. Now there’s proof! Nearly 2/3 of people say board games bring families closer. 🎲✨

✋ The most dangerous thing we can do right now is nothing.
🏛️ Democracy doesn’t die because people take power — it dies because too many of us believe we have none.
🛠️ Every one of us has more power than we think.

(1) Today I learned that many people at my husband’s workplace are being let go. Even though I don’t know them, it weighs heavy. People are not disposable — yet they’re treated like numbers on a spreadsheet.

1- This song is a masterpiece and my favorite!

Every time I hear “This Is What It Sounds Like” from K-Pop Demon Hunters, I cry. Not because I’m sad, but because it’s exactly how I’ve been feeling.

We can't allow ourselves to become numb to mass shootings. What happened today in Minneapolis is heartbreaking, and Michelle and I are praying for the parents who have lost a child or will be sitting at their hospital bedside after yet another act of unspeakable, unnecessary violence.

Republicans are trying to redraw congressional district lines to keep their grip on Congress in the midterms and beyond.

Voters should pick their politicians, not the other way around.

This morning, I was telling my kids that talking with them, seeing them, hanging out with them (and my grandson) is like a salve on the wounds inflicted daily by this horrific regime. May you have your family and your friends. Find your salve. Find your joy. It will sustain us.

We just lost one of the few legal tools that could stop widespread harm.
If you don’t sue—or can’t afford to—you’re not protected.
Justice isn’t shared anymore.
It’s something you buy.
Harm now comes with a price tag.

By not stopping this, SCOTUS is complicit. They’re not the ones doing the harm—but they’re watching, and letting it happen.

When you have the power to stop harm and choose not to,
you are allowing it.

This is not neutrality.
This is a silent green light for cruelty.

Just like a lion, when we attack without being provoked—it’s not about peace.
It’s about territory.
It’s about power.
It’s about interests that have nothing to do with safety or justice.
But when we strike first, we’re not defending—we’re expanding.

Call it what it is:
Control. Greed. Empire.
June 23, 2025 at 4:39 PM
“Peace through strength” isn’t the problem. Lions show dominance to protect their pride—not to attack other prides for no reason.
Strength exists to protect, not provoke.
Using unmatched power to strike unprovoked it’s not strength. That’s domination.
That’s not peace. That’s fear masked as order.
June 23, 2025 at 4:38 PM
Imagine someone punches you unprovoked—are you going to want peace with them?
June 23, 2025 at 4:16 PM
“Peace through strength”? No, this is bullying.

We flex power not to protect but to dominate.
Iran didn’t attack us. We intervened.
No warning. No accountability.
Just force.

Power without justice is violence.
And peace built on violence is not peace—it’s control.

The greatest act of rebellion is to truly know yourself. Because a self-aware soul is powerful and cannot be controlled. And that—living as your truest self—is the real freedom.

Hate aimed outward is often a mirror of the hate we have toward ourselves. Heal within, and the world begins to look different.
