I think it was a bit improvement pacing-wise. Probably the most eventful and engaging episode since the first two. Jumping between character stories a little more and having them both go through some real gnarly shit in two very different ways was great.

There are some super busted builds that make it a lot easier and I believe there’s no shame at all in using them.

He wasn’t doing this on forums or fellow-kids-group-chats either, this was on Facebook. Saw lots of concerned comments from his mother, aunts, and uncles.

Reminds me of a kid I vaguely knew in high school who would do “you think anime is for kids???” posts accompanied with gifs of the most gory, fucked up anime deaths he could find. I’m sure he thought he was proving something, but he really just gave anime haters a different reason to hate it.

“The Hunt for Gollum” sounds like the name of some HB cartoon holiday special, or one of those “2 hour long TV event!” Type episodes we saw once every year or two back in the day. Can’t imagine how they make that concept interesting, and it’s surely impossibly to make it both interesting and good.

I’ve liked the doodles I’ve met (none of this is the dogs’ fault after all) but every vet, trainer, behaviorist, and really anyone in any dog-adjacent field I’ve ever talked to, seem to unanimously agree that people gotta stop encouraging doodle breeders to make more doodles.

And people just across the bridge five miles away in Vancouver bought it all, hook line and sinker. They were terrified to drive ten minutes away from their homes because of what some dude at a desk in on the other side of the country told them.

They loved showing video of businesses putting boards up to protect their windows, but those were all old footage from businesses closing down when Covid started. They loved showing protestors defending themselves, but never wanted to show what they were defending themselves against.

I’ll never forget when I worked two blocks from the Portland courthouse- the supposed center of the “horrific violence” in Portland- at the height of the BLM protests some five years ago. The things I saw walking to work did not match the narrative being pushed by conservative news at all.

While episode 2 was the peak of the show’s cringe factor, the running theme of Rogen’s character’s bad/infuriating decisions continue to be what incites conflict in every episode.
