What is your most embarrassing "when I was a young nerd" story?
Mine is: when I was a young nerd I spent an entire month of my life designing a prestige class for D&D 3.5 based on the shinigami from Bleach.
It was unplayably complex and broken but I tried to convince my DM to let me run it anyway.

Three episodes in and I feel like the Fallout show finally broke my weird, excessive squeamishness around blood and gore onscreen. I've seen human bodies get mangled, crushed, and blown up in so many horrifying ways but I haven't felt that compulsion to run away and vomit once.
I'm finally free.

Taco Bell Biscuit Tacos (2015-2016): Following the failure of the waffle tacos, TB went back to the well and gave the world egg and cheese "tacos" wrapped in a biscuit, available in either sausage or bacon. Like the waffle variant, these were also discontinued after about a year.

I do not miss the MMORPG-lifestyle but I do really miss MMO Holiday events. Logging in to see my favorite game cities covered in snow, presents and fun costumes everywhere. Seasonal dungeons and puzzles. Candy corn goblins evil snowmen. That was good stuff.
