I don't know. I was not alive then, nor did I live in that environment when I was younger. As for what I'm talking about, I simply mean towns that are predominantly farmland with little to no infrastructure such as sidewalks and lampposts.

But it's not just that...there are numerous reasons to have a trunk or treat, including why I'm participating in one which is that in rural neighborhoods, it's nonsensical to trick or treat when you have to walk across several acres to visit maybe 5 houses.

My suburban nostalgic ass totally gets you, but now that I'm living in a more rural neighborhood, it makes so much more sense than schlepping an entire acre between houses.
