Full Disclosure: I was a hornets kid. 5 years old in Charlotte in 1988. The depth of my emotional relationship with Muggsy Bogues knows no end. New Orleans' draft history is only made more painful by the hornets taking MKG at #2 behind Anthony Davis and Ray Felton the pick after Chris Paul.

I would get glasses for the first time soon after, but I must have been squinting pretty hard at his whiteboard when I realized bruce was looking at me looking at his positional big board. I quickly looked down and saw that my torah was upside down and backwards. Can't win 'em all.

Even attempting cool stuff like a 70 yarder is heavily disincentivized. Kickoffs are understandably neutered now. If they dislike kicking so much, why not just get rid of it?! My modest proposal is to treat field goal attempts like punts. Miss it, touchback. More cool long attempts.

I'd like to request a newsletter on the strange philosophical relationship football has with kicking. Seemingly every rule change in the past 50 years has been to increase scoring...unless it was scoring via kicking. They moved the goalposts back. Narrowed them. Got rid of blocks. Moved extrapoints.
