We know that covid can damage the brain. We don’t know how this will impact society. Governments need to change their pro infection approach to one of actively encouraging vaccines, ffp2 & rolling clean air. Instead of this we are allowing science fact to be obliterated by antiscience.

I love Angela's work. So cute! It takes me back to my childhood and never fails to make me smile.

If you need a little sweetness and joy in the middle of the storm, I highly recommend following her artwork.
🥳 This year, I was able to realize a dream by reinvesting funds from my shop sales (THANK YOU) into my art & illustration career by becoming a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators (@scbwi.bsky.social)! I feel so official now! 😄

With gratitude,
Angela (SCBWI member!)

Since 2020 the politicisation and propaganda in much of the media, which is really holding back progress on COVID has polarised all the arguments into two camps. A technique called ‘black and white thinking’ where only two choice are ever given.

Something also very important to consider is that over 40% of infections are asymptomatic. Some studies suggests it’s as high as 49%. This doesn’t make infection benign. Think of Hepatitis C it can silently destroy the liver without any awareness. Asymptomatic does not equate to necessarily benign.

Important watch
Policy on health is clearly broken - politicized, out of touch, reactive and slow. My recent keynote at the Canadian Biosafety Symposium took a big-picture look at how and why that's happening, and how we can turn things around.

Here's a general-audience version, recorded at the Deep River library.

Yo: no, no voy a subir un cover coñero de “Look What You Made Me Do”.

This past Xmas, I made my mum’s apple cake for my dad and a couple of relatives I love.
Not being able to fully taste what I was cooking made it a bit challenging, but it turned out well.
I also cooked scallops in her style.
I think it was a small, humble way to honour her and share a little love.

It would not surprise me at all if almost every ICE agent was an anti-vaxx Covid denier.

These are the same men who refused to mask to save lives but who happily cover their faces to hide their identities.

The leading cause of death among ICE agents? Covid.
How dangerous is it really to work for ICE?
According to ICE’s own data, none of its officers have been killed by an immigrant in the agency’s history.

Once again, a well fitted respirator provides excellent protection against all types of flu and COVID.

Really clear messaging from the NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene. At this point, it's not going to convince a ton of people to start masking, but it may encourage folks who already mask to keep it up - & it may remind others that masking is an expert-recommended NPI, not a weird obsession.

Oh, hey.....do you know what today is?

Today is a GREAT DAY TO WEAR A RESPIRATOR MASK IN ALL SITUATIONS OF POTENTIAL CONTAGION.

Covid, flu, etc al. inflict harm and injury. Why would we want to bring that onto ourselves, or someone else?

Surgical masks are about 20% as effective as N95's.

A doctor who wears one looks stupid.

A doctor without any mask looks malevolent.
Personally, I'm fed up with dentists and some MDs who think that a surgical mask is enough or claim that their surgical masks are "special". They don't offer a proper seal for aerosols; they leak. Period. We should've learnt this years ago, especially healthcare workers!
