the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

one of the difficulties I had with this piece is severe lack of references, especially ones that show a person half way in the water, and the view being angled (not fully looking up)

i know this sounds pretentious and haughty but it does really grind my gears that there are people (usually young people) in the world who's idea of art stops and ends at fanart of mobile game characters or whatever. begging people to gain inspiration from more things in the world. help me
