Though speaking as someone who did meet his wife through church, yeah, please don't approach church like this.
If nothing else, it's usually very obvious and therefore can make women feel uncomfortable to be at church when you're there!

I was talking to a young Orthodox woman recently and she was telling me that there is an enormous gender divide emerging in American Orthodoxy because of this. The young women just want to, you know, go to church, while the young men (mostly converts) are looking for their tradwife.
