A very awesome painting of a large mounting valley. It is dusk, the sun has set behind the mountains in the distance turning the sky into a multicoloured canvas of black, purples, greens, and oranges. There is a tree-line at the base of the mountains that creat a perimeter to a large clearing. In the middle of that clearing is a little wood cabin with a stone chimney. Standing directly outside the cabin is an enormous raccoon. If the cabin is one story high and say, 30ft by 50ft at its footprint, then the raccoon, on all fours, stands about 4 stories tall and is easily 200ft from nose to tail. It is a dragon sized raccoon. I say this because the raccoon is also breathing fire onto the cabin setting it ablaze

Over the past 48 hours, Meta (Facebook / Instagram / Threads) has ended their DEI programs, changed their content rules to allow abuse and harassment of LGBTQ people, and deleted their trans and nonbinary messenger themes. I’ve loved sharing my photography and my delight in birds with all of you. This makes me really sad, but I can’t be a part of this. I’m done here. I don’t know quite where to go next. I am on Bluesky as @carlbergstrom.com but I realize it’s not the same thing. In any case, I’ll miss you all. Godspeed.
