Do any other autistic people find themselves telling people they're autistic basically as soon as you meet them? I guess I feel like getting it out there gives people an explanation for my different-ness before they come up with their own.

I was mostly in my own head, trying to figure out how the fuck everyone was doing life and trying to wear the right outfit…the most challenging aspect of all.
For the first thirty years of my life, when I did not know I was NeuroDivergent, I let other people tell me what I needed, which led me to neglect and become out of touch with my needs (so badly that I didn't know what they were).
