i also find it very funny that the game introduces the most generic protagonist boy right off the bat and so far he has literally not gotten to do anything at all he just occasionally appears in a cutscene going "what's happening, we have to do something" and you never even play as him or anything

you keep conversing with the girl that's been fused to maken against her will and she keeps making conversation that clearly decides like, Maken's capacity for empathy and smart decision-making, and there are many missions and bosses you can simply ignore entirely if you choose not to help
