Hey Paul Weiss associates—meet your new pro bono clients. It’s ok, the Skadden associates are getting the coal companies.

I wonder… when this is all said and done… when we’ve stopped paying for these pesky schools and started building an Iron Dome around the US (because of how wonderful our relationships with our neighbors and former allies are)… the nation’s defense forces…

Breast cancer diagnoses rose by over 300% between 1973 and 1992.

Was there a breast cancer epidemic?!

NO.

Mammograms were implemented for screening in 1976.

PREVALENCE is a function of being able to correctly diagnose something.

This is also about autism.

Neither the constitution nor any amendment prohibits Trump from serving a third term.

Really.

The 22nd amendment bars a person from being “elected to the office of president more than twice.” It says nothing about serving again.

Go ahead and read it…

The reason it’s difficult to understand the tariffs…
Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

1/ A 🧵 to explain his plan and how we fight back.

It’s not just that Skadden agreed to toe the party line. They are also filtering internal communications on the subject.

This likely isn’t legal issue, and it’s definitely not a first amendment issue. But it sure does show that they know they’re in the wrong…

NEW: Elon Musk’s X has suspended accounts of Turkish opposition groups, suppressing footage of anti-government protests.

So, best we share all the footage we can here!

This was last night’s massive demo against Erdogan’s government, which follows the arrest of his rival Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Seriously -- Democrats... here's your game plan -- put forth a clear progressive (call it a different word if you need to) tax plan and be *VERY* clear about what that funds. Explain to folks that their taxes won't go up.

And then never stop hammering at that message.
NEBRASKA CROWD: “TAX THE RICH! TAX THE RICH!”

@USRepMikeFlood: “So your proposal to solve (the debt) is tax the rich?”

They want us to think this is the new normal. It’s quite old, and it’s quite effective. Voices of opposition are quiet and getting quieter. I am positive that there are many hushed voices. And I am have some hope that…
Hi, I'm the guy who used to oversee the federal government's agency IT telecommunications contracts. This is extremely bad. There is absolutely no need for this. Not only is it a huge security exposure, but the simplest explanation for this is that it is meant to be a security exposure.

This. Is. A. Coup.
Trump has declared that all pardons issued by former President Joe Biden using an autopen—a device that replicates signatures—are “void, vacant, and of no further force or effect.” Unfortunately for Trump, that’s not how this works—these signatures are legally valid.

Tonight, Trump pulled security protection for Biden's son and daughter, Hunter and Ashley. Earlier today he said he does not recognized Biden's pardons because of the way Biden signed them. Trump is escalating. We must PUSH BACK!

This. Is. A. Coup.

There is not a point at which these people will pull themselves back, turn down the heat, or decide they have gained enough. They have empowered the brutes and made the rest of us cower.

I do not believe this country survives without a second civil war.
This is a coup! U.S. Institute for Peace called the DC police on the Musk team members in an effort to stop them from trespassing because the institute has control of its own building and the land it sits on. But instead, the DC police allowed them to enter and kicked out the institute’s officials.

The Trump administration replaced the top lawyer at the IRS in a shake-up that coincided with efforts by officials to access taxpayer data for immigration enforcement. The chief counsel position is one of the highest-ranking roles at the IRS and one of only two that require Senate confirmation.
