Mexico’s President Sheinbaum arrived at her press conference 35 min late after an unscheduled call with President Trump.
“You saw the tweet, right?” -
referring to the “pause” on tariffs. It was followed by a standing ovation.

Remember 15 days into his first term, the only thing he was worried about was the crowd size at his inauguration? Simpler times.

For any Americans needing to unblur their eyeballs, this is an excellent talk. Admittedly, while I think most on the left are well aware of the threat of Elon, I think many of us are ignorant to the perspective raised here. It is an interesting one: youtu.be/9u4A0D_Wc9c?...

This is a FUCK of a lot of water to waste. This is not being done to “make the water flow” it’s being done to ruin the economy of California’s agricultural sector (and therefore the economy of the country.)

Love that I’m a known safe space for family and friends. Today marks another instance where someone I don’t speak to often felt comfortable enough to bring up a sensitive topic bc it was weighing on their mind and they needed reassurance that they weren’t alone.

I’m here. And I’m terrified too.

IDK who needs to hear this, but you're allowed to like one part of a band's discography and not the other. You don't have to know the whole history of a band to be a fan. You can just simply LIKE the music. You don't need to know names of every album or song or band member. You can just LIKE music.

I cannot get over the fact that Republicans only won the House by 7,500 total votes in three congressional districts—an average of 2,500 votes in each.

That’s how close Democrats came to taking the House, in a country of over 340 million people. 7,500 votes.

Can confirm, Gregory Maguire’s book is very, very different from the film and play adaptations of #Wicked. (Hot take, I know.)

However, it’s a pretty damn good book - enjoying it so far.

“Don’t feed the trolls” also extends to bad opinion pieces in papers of record.

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

It’s not easy and takes constant practice!

My own take is very different.

When readers ask me why I think my research and writing will be convincing to MAGAs, my answer is always the same: I don't expect it to be, and don't intend it to be.

My work is intended for intelligent people with integrity and principles who are not part of a cult.
