4pm update: just over 30mm today in Halifax as the heaviest rain is passing just to the east. Along the Eastern Shore, Spanish Ship Bay, who have had a very damp November, has almost reached 50mm so far today

9:30am. While the rain has eased off in much of the region, it’s nasty in CB with gusty winds, heavy rain and even sone thunderstorms. Careful (or avoid) driving for next few hours

Showers largely in CB Highlands in brisk NW onshore winds today. Otherwise fine today & Monday. I have appended an animation for the next 2 weeks illustrating a number of passing storms. This EU model suggests over 100mm for southern & eastern areas. Note the blues & reds: snow or mixed precip.
