In Japan, where I live, the percentage of children wearing glasses is increasing every year. I think of this as degeneration. Of course, there is also the view that we have simply changed direction.

First of all, I don't think that humans are growing or evolving as living organisms in modern times. It's true that intelligence is evolving, and civilization is advancing along with it. But is that correct as a living organism?
