I love redemption arcs, but I feel like a lot of people fundamentally don't understand what they are. Or have mislabeled what they are on account of fandom memes or tvtropes or something. A character can't be "worth" redemption. They can only "need" it. And so they strive to claw themselves out-

Chinua's Aether is all messed up after SHB, so her recovery's a long one due to resisting healing magic. It leaves plenty of time to talk through Ultima Thule with her loved ones, conversations that she might've avoided had she been able to wander off.

Chinua is from the Steppe but was tutored by Urianger in both reading and writing Eorzean during the ARR years. As a result her writing is actually quite scholarly and formal.

Prissy little know-it-all. It takes Chinua far too long to recognize that for all his intelligence, Alphinaud is still a child in need of support and guidance. It's not until after the Bloody banquet that they begin to reconcile and heal together.

It was something that only Chinua could do but she still deeply resented the unwanted responsibility conferred to her by the title. That she ultimately chose to wear those shackles of her own will doesn't change that she was happy to discard the title after resolving The Final Day.

This mini was a real pain to assemble. It's a nice sculpt... but the tolerance of the parts is so small that trying to pin them really messed with their fit. All in all, the only part I'd recommend pinning is where the torso meets the hips. Scheme in alt text. #battletech #MechWarrior #miniatures
