I used to do work but now I don’t. Have doctorate but forgotten everything about it. I like long novels mainly detective and science fiction. I like cinema, increasingly non-English & watching TV. I’m learning Portuguese because I live in Portugal.
@warmovietheatre.bsky.social are you two starting to move away from war movies? The Boys from Brazil, Biggles, Aliens, Starship Troopers? What's wrong with actual war movies? For example you haven't done Oppenheimer or the original Nuremberg or maybe the Danish film Land of Mine.

I've just started reading Stuart Mcbrides 6th novel in the Logan McRae series Dark Blood. So far so excellent as usual. Only 7 more books in the series to go I think...

It depends on the question. For example, if I asked which UK politician who has just tried to set up a new political party does this bad AI generated image resemble the answer could be Jeremy Corbyn.

I have discovered that #Amazon has probably the worst customer service going. All I wanted to do was change my phone number. Asking to change a phone number seemed to be totally unheard of at Amazon. The guy I spoke to had to seek the advice of his supervisor and a 'specialist'. They both failed..

If I saw a black commercial pilot I'd be amazed, the US tries its best to prevent black people from having a decent education and decent jobs. If only there were more! Also, 92% of pilots are male. So much for DEI hiring.

I went to see #Ballerina this afternoon. It was good fun. I've not seen any of the John Wick films but it didn't make any difference to this spin off. Wick is in it anyway. Keanu wanders around looking cool and not really bothering to act (as usual) at 2 hours it's long enough.

I went to see #Ballerina this afternoon. It was good fun. I've not seen any of the John Wick films but it didn't make any difference to this spin off. Wick is in it anyway. Keanu wanders around looking cool and not really bothering to act (as usual) at 2 hours it's long enough.

I just completed the book The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. I liked the writing style and structure but I thought it too long and quite repetitive in places. The last 200 pages were a hard slog. Also the vampire trope is really wearing very thin for me.
