I would be stoked about AI as partner in a better world. Pollock with AI instead of a rope/bucket? PostModern novels getting even WEIRDER?

But that world has environmental protections and a UBI for artists. We are only moving further from it.

We made a world where we cannot afford to be curious.

I bind myself
to Thee
this day,
good God eternal,
holy Grace.
Guide me this life
to love & serve,
with faithfulness
to seek thy face.

Amen.

The Handmaid's Tale is a good book. But did you know that there's a book written by a Black woman about a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and societal decline. The book was published in 1993, but is set in 2024 following a presidential election 👀 #BookSky #BlackBookSky

Can we just agree that there is no decolonization w/out anticolonial struggle & that these are intertwined struggles to both dismantle AND reimagine/restructure what is possible. I’m so 🥱 of the resurging antagonisms of anti/deco/poco discourse™️.

1/ Aneurin Bevan, born on this day in 1897. As Labour's Minister of Health and Housing, 1945-51, he built 805,000 council houses whilst insisting on high standards: homes were one-third bigger than the pre-war average, a three-bed home had two inside toilets.
