It has become wildly popular in recent years to call anything and everything right or left “coded,” a way to sort the shifty, amorphousness of culture into the hard and fast lines of polarized politics. Here’s a look at how the word spread.

Before former Vice President Walter Mondale died in 2021, he left behind the eulogy he had planned to deliver for Jimmy Carter.

His son Ted Mondale will read it at Carter’s memorial service at Washington National Cathedral on Jan. 9.

In 1582, a papal bull introduced the Gregorian calendar, still used today by most of the world. Because it’s 11 days ahead of the Julian calendar, countries introducing it simply skipped a third of October, and if you scroll back far enough in the iPhone calendar app you can see it change

I can’t believe it was over a year since we lost Ady Barkan. He was one of the most courageous warriors I’ve ever seen who fought for healthcare for all, while battling his own healthcare issues with ALS. He inspired me to be a better advocate. We all need to be our own heroes & fight like Ady did.🙏

this kind of obviously biased headline is so frustrating when MSM is fighting for credibility

1) New Year’s Honours list is nominated by public not by political leaders

2) Khan has won three elections so the average Londoner clearly doesn’t think he’s a failure
