One thing that stuck with me is the amount of sugar is that found in cereal. In the article it mentions that in just one serving of cereal has more then the recommended amount of sugar that should be consumed per day. @beh353.bsky.social #BEH353
Before you pour that bowl—read the label! Some cereals pack more sugar than a dessert & even exceed daily salt limits. Food dyes, excess sugar, & sodium make these 9 the unhealthiest picks. #Nutrition #Cereal

This article mentions how why tracking calories is easier then macros. I found it interesting the people would count their macros, I have always heard about counting calories instead. The important thing is that a person gets a balanced meal throughout the day. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

One fact that stuck with me is how poverty is linked to obesity. As James Corden mentioned children who live in poverty are at a higher risk of obesity. It's important that as future professionals that we shouldn't judge others, that don't "fit" societies norm. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

It was interesting to learn that even during the 50s fad diets were being promoted as a way to lose weight quicker. As the article mentions what is failed to be realized is that these fad diets don't promote healthy ways of eating. Instead it promotes eating limited. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

It's a great way to instill that trying to eat right doesn't have to be perfect. It's all about making changes and adding to what a person believe is good for them. There shouldn't be any negative connotations for a person eating different then what is seen as "healthy" @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
There is no “one right way” to eat. Healthy eating is not about being perfect for a day or a few months. Your lifestyle will always be a work in progress. Consequently, making dietary changes is something you commit to for the rest of your life.

One fun fact I learned is that protein gets broken down in the body and can be used for other chemical reactions. By breaking it down it can be used as enzymes. This is important because it can be used to help repair and build onto muscle, and target other areas. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
