Of course it was Barclay. I bet he was taking it to Troi but got distracted by his hologirlfriend, who was actually the EMH in disguise because the EMH wants a taste of that delicious pie, but he didn't commandeer 7 of 9 in time and Worf got to it first.

Look down at your belly. Do you see a moon? Are the wolves howling at it? If so, fear not, the wolves are not in you, they are on you, more specifically, on your t-shirt.

Also, no need to freak out, but there is probably a third wolf.

Have you read the Robots books? They chord nicely with the Foundation series. I found Caves of Steel to be much more accessible. It's "just" a murder mystery.

I don't object to investment, but one thing that money does is suggest what you should pay attention to. If someone pays 1¢ for this story but 2¢ for that story, it's not livable, but at least it suggests a direction.

In books like the one I mentioned, they suggest the author treat their work like a business. Okay, but most businesses need to make money. In this industry, the publisher is the investor, but they expect the author take on the risk.

It's a chicken or egg problem. Publishers have discovered they can let authors lay the eggs and choose the ones they want. "Sorry, we don't want your eggs. Why are you brooding?"
