The main source is Sapir's book, and he offers various explanations why the Imam fell out with him. I guess other historians opted for the less sensationalist one

"The Jews" apparently sounds racist. I noticed that students avoid the term and prefer "Jewish people". If you want people to listen to "the facts" about the Jews, you can't use the term. Strange, warped logic

Hopefully, at some point Anthony Blinken, Brett Mcgurk and Jake Sullivan will not be able to go abroad in fear of being arrested.

Yes, and the IDF was similarly stunned, because an open-ended war was against their philosophy and 76 years of Israeli military doctrine.
But Israeli officials were very shaky in the first 8 weeks and could easily have been told what to do and not to do.
