We should always be thinking 3 steps ahead, because they certainly are. Sounds like some people watched the Handmaids Tale and got the wrong idea
RFK Jr. says he will instruct the NIH and FDA to review the safety of the abortion drug mifepristone.

I knew AI was bad but wow. Please read the whole thread. This connects so many dots about worldwide machinations—even DJT’s weird comments about diverting water in CA
As someone who has reported on AI for 7 years and covered China tech as well, I think the biggest lesson to be drawn from DeepSeek is the huge cracks it illustrates with the current dominant paradigm of AI development. A long thread. 1/

I think the Jack Smith draft report is finished. Write to Merrick Garland and ask him to release the Jack Smith report. You can do it here. Select “Messages to the Attorney General” from the drop down menu www.justice.gov/doj/webform/...

From now on we should report every election as “33% R, 30% D, 36% didn’t vote.” Also this just proves we are not reaching or educating a vast swath of Americans, and we need to build an alternative media structure that will.
This is a must-read and is also the first comprehensive post mortem I’ve read working off the vote cast data (which is the real deal) as opposed to the dubious exit polling.

Some good ones on here. I would also add actively supporting independent media.
Tips to keep democracy alive in 2025:

1. Be Brave. Avoid helpless/hopeless talk. Authoritarians want you to feel powerless because it makes their work easier. Courage, faith, and optimism are essential. Fascism feeds on cynicism and pessimism. Starve it.

Extremely important piece from @mattdpearce.com on the AP and how it's being attacked. Losing it would be another blow to our weakened information infrastructure, and remember the lesson of the 2010/20s: the quality of a political system is bounded by the quality of that infrastructure. [1]

People keep wondering what we can do, well, here you go. #declassifyTrump
We don't have to let a convicted felon controlled by Putin's kompromat destroy our Democracy.

Over 70-percent of voting-age Americans did not vote for Putin's saboteur. Less than 30-percent did. We can stop him.

Read, share, and support the plan to stop Trump.

We Can Stop Trump
Welcome to the resistance. I have a proposal for you for action at the end of this essay, but it will make more sense to you if first we talk more about “kompromat.” You will note that the word sounds...

They are going to target Blue cities and blue states first for three reasons one to dominate blue states, two this is not as much about deportations as it is deploying a de facto police state and three they want to collapse blue states economies to try and change the election math for governors.
