All the more reason to recognize that Trump has been disqualified by the 14th Amendment since before Inauguration Day, requiring that the only qualified person to receive electoral votes for President be sworn in.

In case you missed it: federal prosecutors told a federal judge in Tennessee that Trump’s sweeping Jan. 6 pardons don’t cover a Capitol rioter who plotted to murder FBI agents who investigated him over J6.

Trump's Jan. 6 pardons don't cover Capitol rioter who plotted to kill FBI agents, DOJ says
Edward Kelley “devised a plan to murder federal, state, and local law enforcement in East Tennessee,” federal prosecutors said.

Governors may need to be reminded of Trump's continuing ineligibility to serve under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

#14thNow
Democratic governors proved themselves to be spineless during a meeting with Trump at the White House, even when the president, with his usual gross lack of class and dignity, attacked Democratic Gov. Mills of Maine.
Democratic governors should have all walked out together midway through that meeting but especially after Trump's attack on Gov. Janet Mills.

I don't know why they didn't. Makes no sense.

Because this cannot go unanswered

Colorado's House of Representatives is debating a resolution that condemns the pardons of the January 6, 2021 insurrectionists. The chamber's few Republicans are very unhappy about it.

We the people are ultimately sovereign. Government is but our agent, whether Reps or Dems, executive, or even SCOTUS. Dems can either lead the resistance or we resist them too.
Dems: declare DJT an illegitimate president, call for mass peaceful protests & for removal. Uphold Constitution. Defy now.

Can't quite tell from the clip if the comparison was complimentary or derogatory.

If it's derogatory, that implies that 1/6/21 was, y'know, an insurrection. And that would disqualify anybody who gave aid or comfort to the insurrection from, say, occupying the White House.

Holy crap. At his town hall last night, Rep. Rich McCormick compared *his own constituents* who asked him tough and fair questions to January 6 insurrectionists

Speaking of the MDNG, remember when the Capitol needed saving 4 years ago? Remember when Trump's Pentagon dragged their feet in giving them permission to enter DC and save Congress?

Stuff like that is why Trump (among others) is constitutionally barred from serving as President again.

When the Maryland National Guard pulled out of a planned parade to honor Frederick Douglass, citing Hegseth's anti-"DEI" guidance, Trump allies complained this was a case of 'malicious compliance.' Hegseth's had two weeks to tell the Maryland Guard to go ahead. He hasn't. The racism is the point.

When he took the oath of office without the consent of 2/3 of Congress removing the disqualification imposed by Section 3 of the 14th Amendment.

But after that? The first action done by DOGE without Congress.

Trump again raises idea of running for an unconstitutional third term. The suggestion followed a stretch of days in which Trump referred to himself as a king and quoted a dictator in suggesting that he was immune from following laws www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Absofuckinglutely. He’s an illegitimate president, not eligible even to run, according to the 14th Amendment. Nothing he has done is legal. He needs to be removed.

NEW: The Justice Department now says Donald Trump’s sweeping pardons for Jan. 6 rioters covers unrelated gun charges some faced after the FBI searched their homes.

It’s moving to drop felony charges against Daniel Ball and Elias Costianes.

Just tell them you were being metaphorical, like when the J6-ers chanted HANG MIKE PENCE and were pardoned by Trump.
These are the kind of letters people are receiving if they dare to question this administration.

We have a constitutional right and duty to speak up.

Being political isn’t the reason he can’t serve. Nor are his children’s books, though they are bad.

Kash Patel is disqualified because he is 180-degrees wrong about January 6th. Senators don’t get this?
Sen Susan Collins (R-ME):

“Mr. Patel’s recent political profile undermines his ability to serve in the apolitical role of Director of the FBI.

“Therefore, I will vote against his nomination.”

Wow, wouldn’t it be great if someone suggested consequences for doing this? Like maybe it’s a violation of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment or similar? I dunno, I just think that throwing an impediment in the way of Trump is good and shifts us from helplessness to action. But that’s just me!
Something refreshing to hear: in a new poll Americans oppose Trump’s pardoning of violent January 6th insurrectionists by 83-14.
