There are two concepts you absolutely need to know thoroughly before attending a protest in this current environment, and those two concepts are:

1) OPSEC (aka operational security), and
2) The felony murder doctrine.

people who want other people to stay in sad little grey boxes forever and never be happy in their bodies or desires are villains and cowards and they may be winning right now but by god they will lose as water smooths stone and roots break it, because that fierce joy is roots and water and life

As others have pointed out, the idea that we can control their behavior by modeling respectability (cooperating with the compulsory grief around Kirk, for example, and not saying truthful/angry things about him) is akin to an abused person's belief that they can control the abuse by being perfect.

There is not one path to fascism and dictatorship. There are many. I'm begging you to learn about any history of fascism beyond Germany, and even if not willing to do that, to at least try and understand and analyze the current political moment more through its immediate USIAN conetxt

This is a regime in decline. Regimes in decline are still dangerous. But this is not a regime ready to build a fifteen year reich, nevermind a thousand year one. We got this. It's gonna be horrible and we never should've gotten here. But these fascists are BOUND to lose 😘✌️
